Project 2017 – Update #1

I have three goals for this year, and will be making monthly updates on them to keep reminding myself why/how. They are:

  • thinking of my health and start moving more. no numbers, explicit goals or deadlines, but simply that – move more, be kind to my body.
  • favorize women! more female authors and artists
  • continue learning stuff.

So, how has the first month gone?

Health:

Eeeh. I was down and out one full week due to the flu, so it didn’t start off great. The cold (minus degrees!!) meant slippery bike paths, meant me not biking to the gym. And that’s the only way to get there. So no gym yet. (Obviously this is an excuse, it’s a chain of gyms and you can go to any of them. There’s one next to the train station where I work, and one next to the train station where I switch trains. If I REALLY had wanted to, I could’ve gone to either of those.)

The Ladies:

Börjar starkt! As we say. Going very well so far. Out of the 11 books I’ve read, 9 were written by women. Musically it’s about the same. Spotify suggests about half half to me, and my favorites are usually female.

Learning:

The cartography course has begun, and had its first assignments to hand in. And… big bucket of nope. Look, I even enjoy books about maps, but this course (at Stockholm University) was just ridiculously boring.
