Blogtober – #14

14. Share a local ghost story.

Is this a thing? Do people know local ghosts stories? I can’t think of any for any of the places I’ve ever lived in… But how about this one:

Sinterklaas (Dutch version of Santa) puts naughty children in his bag and brings them back to Spain.  Because yes, the local Santa resides in Spain, and only comes to NL in December. With his slaves*

This post is part of the blogtober challenge that you can read more about here.

*this is a recurring discussion and you say whatever you want (or, “feel that it’s different now”), but the origin of zwarte Piet is slaves. They used to wear shackles – enough said.
